The one-way flapper valve on the power unit’s drain. Dirty water flows out to the plumbing; the flapper closes behind it so drain odors and backflow can’t return to the unit. 1½” ABS. Replace the whole valve, or just the flapper with PA107.

When to replace

Drain odor at the unit, water backing up into the tank after the cycle, or a flapper that no longer seats. The flapper alone is PA107.
